Nick Palmieri
For the first time I decided to start collecting cards for a player with no ties to the Avalanche. My reason? I played one year of high school hockey with Nick Palmieri, who we refer to as Mugger. He still spends his off-seasons here in his hometown and we cross paths once in a while and have even had a couple of drinks together since he has become a regular in the New Jersey Devils lineup.
